Sarah and Judd were married a few weeks ago at Glen Sanders Mansion where they celebrated in high style. (Think amazing fireworks and one of the coolest chuppahs we’ve ever seen!) The two met while students at Columbia University and were later engaged at Judd’s family summer home in the Catskills – we loved having the opportunity to be a part of their wedding!
Sarah started the day with hair by Traci from Studio D and makeup by Teresa Figueroa. In her classic lace Pronovias dress she was a total knockout. The bridesmaids wore eggplant dresses by Bill Levkoff and Sarah wore rockin’ purple shoes to match.

These two were so sweet during the ketubah signing – one look at them and you could tell how incredibly happy they were to be getting married.

The ceremony took place under a gorgeous chuppah. It was made from fabric from Sarah’s mother’s wedding dress – love that kind of family connection!

Oh and remember those fireworks we promised? Out of this world awesome!

The cake topper was pretty sweet, too – it was designed to look like Judd and Sarah’s Nintento Wii characters. Such a cool detail!

Of course, any good wedding has a kickin’ party and this one was no exception. Gravity kept the crowd moving all night!

Congratulations, Sarah and Judd – thanks so much for inviting us along for the celebration!

Another day another gorgeous wedding at The Whiteface Lodge! (We’ve been spending a lot of time in Lake Placid this summer if you hadn’t noticed!) Cindy and Eric celebrated their wedding with a breathtaking lakefront ceremony and a day filled with sweet, personal touches. We loved getting to share in their day and couldn’t wait to share their wedding!

Cindy wore a stunning Pronovias dress that was classic and elegant and satin heels from JCrew. Mary Connell at the spa at Mirror Lake Inn swept her hair into a timeless updo and we loved her bouquet of baby romantica roses, dahlias and spray roses from Trillium Florist. The colors were so pretty and just perfect for a wedding in the mountains.

Cindy made an absolutely beautiful bride and the smile on Eric’s face never left all day…

A little family of ducks came up to visit during the ceremony…so cute!

It proved a bit tricky, but we had a ball rowing out onto the lake to snag these next shots. But with results like this, it was undoubtedly worth it…

In lieu of favors at the reception, Cindy and Eric set up a donation board where guests could select a charity where the couple will be making donations in honor of their loved ones. Instead of a traditional guest book they invited guests to sign a plastic sheet that will be framed along with a vinyl record of their wedding song. In tribute to the natural surroundings, pretty hand painted monarch butterflies made an appearance throughout the decor.

Once again Stephanie Wright and her team at The Whiteface Lodge knocked it out of the park and we loved being a part of fun. Congratulations, Cindy and Eric, and thanks for asking us to join in the celebration!

If you haven’t noticed the trend yet, we’ve been shooting a ton of weddings at The Whiteface Lodge this summer and loving every single one! It’s by far one of our favorite venues and the team there is just top notch in our book. So needless to say, we were excited to head back up to Lake Placid for Courtney and Todd’s wedding. They worked with Stefanie Wright at The Whiteface Lodge to coordinate all of the detail and allow us to say, Stefanie can do no wrong. This was another fabulous wedding!
Courtney and Todd both grew up in the Adirondacks and wanted the beauty of the local area to shine. To start it off right, both Courtney and her bridesmaids all wore gorgeous dresses by Jim Hjelm.

Not to be outdone by the ladies, Todd made a pretty dapper groom…

Coordinating perfectly with the eggplant color of the bridesmaid dresses, Courtney carried a pretty bouquet of deep purple lilies from Scott’s Florist in Saranac Lake…

Another gorgeous vintage boat!

And another smokin’ hot Clark + Walker wedding party photo!

A favorite…

Courtney and Todd were set up by family members (and, ironically, at different times growing up they actually lived in the same house after Courtney’s family bought it from Todd’s parents) so they wanted their wedding to celebrate family and friends. They opted for a cocktail style reception and invited The Popshow Band to keep the crowd moving. And, yes, Elvis was in the building!

Courtney and Todd just got back from their honeymoon in Fiji and are currently building a house on Cayuga Lake – another favorite spot of ours! Congratulations, guys, and thanks for asking us along for the fun!

Courtenay and Mike, both urologists who met in the lab, were married in Lake Placid, one of our favorite places. They had a traditional ceremony at the Adirondack Community Church and then celebrated with a gorgeous reception at The Whiteface Lodge. Courtenay and Mike worked with Cindy Byno of Northwood Events who did an amazing job with all of the coordination and design details.
Around here, we’re suckers for a gorgeous wedding dress. Courtenay’s might just be our favorite of 2010 to date. It was by Rivini and was the perfect combination of romance and high style with tiers of ruffles. Just gorgeous!

And we all know that a gorgeous dress is only made better by a pair of to die for heels. Courtenay rocked a pair of hot pink Christian Louboutins any shoe fanatic would love.

Courtenay’s bridesmaids wore elegant dresses by Jenny Yoo and carried bouquets by Trillium Florist who designed all of the flowers throughout the day.

There are few things we love more than a bride and groom in a cool convertible or zipping along in a vintage boat. With Courtenay and Mike we were lucky enough to get both…

Courtenay and Mike incorporated their love for wine and cheese, their shared profession as urologists and a pretty navy and hot pink color palette throughout their wedding. The reception featured wine from Patricia Green Cellars in Portland, Oregon and they invited Brandon Chrostowski as guest Maître Fromager. We love that kind of personal touch! Courtenay also changed into a gorgeous Vera Wang dress for the reception – we love a two dress bride!

Congratulations, Mike and Courtenay! We wish you many happy years of love and joy – thanks so much for asking us to be a part of your wedding!

Not long ago I received a call from this cat by the name of Peter. He tells me that he’s getting married soon and he’s lookin’ for Clark+Walker Studio to shoot video for THE big day. And what’s great about Peter is he’s like, “David Michael Schmidt referred you, and that’s good enough for me.” I’m thinkin’ WOW – Mr. Schmidt has some serious influence! So I get all the dates and information from Peter and we lock it down. A few days before the wedding, I swing by to meet Peter and check out the location of the event (which happens to be at his parent’s estate), and I have one word to sum it up: EPIC! Peter greeted me as soon as I pulled up and knew who I was before we’d even met (someone must have described me beforehand, cause I’m definitely hard to mistake for someone else) and he is THE nicest guy you could ever meet. Genuine, excited and ready to get married to the woman of his dreams! It was then that I really became excited about shooting his wedding — not that I wasn’t excited before, mind you, but when you see someone put off a vibe like Peter it’s really contagious.
Now that in itself was going to make this a GREAT video shoot, but that was only the half of it! Peter pulled out the big guns with this one and brought on Big Joe and JP Elario for photography, Renaissance Floral Design for floral and New York Players to bring the live music (and man did they bring it!). This, my friends, is a winning combination! It was also my first time working with the Elario team and I had an absolute blast with those guys! And with all of this great talent this could mean only one thing — ole video boy Johnny had to bring his A-Game!
So I ask you .. did I in fact bring it?
-VB Johnny

Amy and Ryan had the most gorgeous wedding at Saratoga National Golf Club, so romantic and elegant in shades of pink. We loved being a part of their incredibly beautiful wedding, which was traditional and sophisticated in every way. The couple met while both students at Syracuse University – Amy was the sorority girl and Ryan was the football player. They were later engaged in Boston on top of the world famous Prudential building and the rest, as they say, is history.
As always, the incredible Elaine from Make Me Fabulous did an amazing job with Amy’s hair and makeup. She wore an absolutely gorgeous Eve of Milady dress and rocked a killer pair of Jimmy Choo heels. She was the definition of a total knockout.

Our friend Kriss Ann Elario of Fleurtacious Designs outdid herself with the gorgeous flowers throughout the day. And, seriously, aren’t these the cutest flower girls you’ve ever seen?

We loved the bridesmaid dresses, elegant in pink from Jim Hjelm (who can do no wrong in our minds.)

Love Amy’s smile in this image!

These two? Just stunning together. We are so in love with these images.

The reception details were over the top pretty. Perfectly elegant and romantic, exactly what Amy and Ryan were going for when planning their wedding.

While we don’t usually find a groom with a ring to rival the bride’s, Ryan has a little bling of his own – his Super Bowl ring from when he won the Super Bowl with the Indiana Colts.

Amy and Ryan, thank you so much for asking us to share in your celebration. Congratulations and best wishes from all of us!

Jacquie and Andreas’s wedding at Aurora Inn was a showstopper and we’re thrilled to be sharing it here on the blog – we love Aurora Inn! (You might remember that we got married there last year.) Everything about their wedding was top notch and we loved the classic black and white color combination – talk about chic! Jacquie and Andreas worked with Heather Davidson, the coordinator at Aurora Inn and together they just knocked it out of the park.
Kris Kellogg did Jacquie’s hair and makeup and did an amazing job – she was absolutely gorgeous! Her stunning dress was by Amsale purchased at Serendipity Bridal in Austin, Texas.

Loved the bridesmaids in these elegant black dresses by Jim Hjelm, also from Serendipity Bridal. All of the gorgeous flowers were from In Bloom in Elmira and we loved Jacquie’s cute black shoes from J.Crew.

These next photos are two of our favorites! Jacquie’s Man of Honor teared up while giving a reading during the ceremony and her face was just priceless. There was a lot of love that day.

As any modern couple knows, you’re not married until facebook says so! These two cracked us up by whipping out their iPhones during portraits to update their facebook status. Priceless!

Favors were cool mini bottles of vodka and the black and white color palette carried into the centerpieces. Even the dancefloor was black and white checks!

Love this group shot! An old bike? Check! Crumbling wall? Check! Super hot bridal party? Check!

We’re convinced we work with the best looking couples around. Don’t believe us? Get a load of these two…

Thanks to both Jacquie and Andreas for letting us share in your day – you two rock! Congratulations!

A few weeks ago we had the great pleasure of shooting Erin and Vincent’s engagement photos at the amazing Barns of Nipmoose. The folks there are just incredible and the location cannot be beat! Erin and Vincent were up for anything and brought along a couple of books they had gifted each other for a sweet personal touch. And the light! We lucked out with some incredible light that day and we just LOVE how these images turned out!

Seriously, how awesome are these barns? And Erin and Vincent are just adorable together, it made shooting them so much fun!

These two rocked these shots and we’re loving the books and the quilt spread out in front of the barn. And really, isn’t Erin’s smile just infectious?

Did we mention how much we love the Barns of Nipmoose? Such a gorgeous setting for this engagement shoot and the light was undeniably beautiful that day. It makes these shots so special.

Thanks, guys, for an awesome day and for being so much fun in front of the camera – we can’t wait for your upcoming wedding!

Kathryn and David were married in July at Gideon Putnam Resort in gorgeous Saratoga Springs. Their wedding was such a sweet, beautiful celebration of their relationship and the beginning of their new married life together and we loved being a part of their day!

Kathryn wore a beautiful lace mantilla veil that gave her a classically vintage look. Paired with her blush and ivory bouquet of lilies, roses and hydrangea, her look was effortlessly romantic.

It’s hard not to smile when you look at these two. The way they look at each other just says it all.

Kathryn and David thought of all the little details when planning their wedding. The flowers are on the cake were the perfect finishing touch and little jars of homemade jam were sent with guests as favors.

Later in the evening there was a crazy storm that gave the sky a really surreal glow. Naturally, we had to go back out for more portraits with this light going on.

Thank you, Kathryn and David, for allowing us to share in your celebration! Our heartfelt congratulations and love from all of us at Clark+Walker.
