The Knot Real Wedding

February 22nd, 2007

Congrats to Sarah and Ian as their wedding in the 1,000 Islands was recently chosen by The Knot as one of their feature Real Weddings.  I’m not sure when the wedding will be posted in the Destination Wedding section, but I know it’s been chosen…. I’ll post the link as soon as it’s available.

This wedding really was a blast, I’m so glad I was able to be a part of it!

recap

February 17th, 2007

Unfortunately my mom’s mother pass away earlier this week, and it’s caused me to fall slightly behind in everything (including the blog).  I was out of town with the rest of my family for the service and also to make sure I showed support for my mother (it felt to give a little support back to a family that has given me more than I can describe).  I am back in the studio this weekend trying to catch up, so email and phone should be back to normal if you tried to get a hold of me.

On a lighter note…. I hope everyone had a good Valentine’s Day :)  My gift to Alisha this year was to work on our book she made for us (and yes I realize announcing that might cause me to take some flack from my boys out there).  Ali made a book for us a while back that is filled with all sorts of things related to us…. pictures, notes, plane tickets, song lyrics, ticket stubs…. you name it.  It was really a great idea and the book means a lot to us both.  I had fallen a little behind in the last month or two, so in the true spirit of Valentine’s Day I decided to make my present….. 11 pages in the book and an additional 22 photos added in (some which she had never seen).  I am not going to post all of that obviously, but I am going to put up a couple of my favs from the last year of being together -

  2. Garrett Nudd:

Hey Luke, sorry to hear about your grandmother. That’s tough. Best wishes to you and your family. Glad you’re back in the studio working hard.

Hey Luke, beautiful album and fantistic work. I was hanging out with Jason Groupp this past weekend and he had so much good stuff to say about you that I had to come check you out, glad I did!

Classy – clean designs my friend. Looking good. The stationary is HOT too!

cards and stationary

February 9th, 2007

I was stoked to see a new shipment of business cards arrive today in the mail.  Special thanks again to Elevation for the design and printing, they are beautiful (for the inquiring minds they are printed on a heavy, uncoated stock and printed in a eurocut).  The new stationary package should be here next week, I can’t wait to see those too!

Here are the designs of the cards and stationary…

Wow Luke, I think you have the best wedding photographer business cards that I have ever seen!

I can’t wait to see one in person :).

  2. Alisha:

    SAAAAAAAAAAAWEEEEEEEEET!

  3. Damion Hamilton:

    Luke,
Those are pretty sweet man. Nice addition to the amazing web site! Nice to hear you put them on heavy stock too. Nothing worse than a business card that feels like a limp fish in your hand. (Can you tell its a pet peeve of mine huh) :)

engagement favorites

February 7th, 2007

I decided against creating a "favorites" gallery in the engagement section of the new website, but just so they don’t disappear forever I am going to post up some of my favs….
