Imagine, if you will, a beautiful March day on the beaches of Hualalai. The sun is warm and inviting as the sound of the surf lulls you into a deep, relaxed bliss, while ukuleles plink somewhere in the distance. A large carved-out pineapple (complete with mini-umbrella) holds your foo-foo beach drink as you casually sip from it at your leisure.
Paradise.
With my leg draped over one side of my beach chair, I dip my toes into the sand allowing my cares to drift away as I feel a gentle nudge and voice that says to me, “They’re ready for you, Mr. Tegan.”
I pause and take one last deep breath before leaping up in unbridled excitement as I grab my camera gear and dash off to prepare for the wedding shoot of a lifetime. THE biggest Hawaiian wedding shoot in Clark + Walker history.
In eager anticipation to do what it is that I love to do, I hear someone yell to me from behind, “Aloha nui loa!” I turn and yell back, “Much love to you, too!” In doing so, I notice that my mysterious well-wishing Hawaiian friend is silhouetted by the sun behind her, never allowing me to realize her true identity.
But alas my friends, this was to be but a dream for yours truly. Being the new guy at Clark + Walker I’m only privy to the great stories I hear around the studio about the 2009 Hawaiian wedding of Farnaz + Jeff. I’m certain, however, that my dream is EXACTLY how it would play out had I actually been there! I’m also certain that Alisha, Luke and Chris’ stories differ very little from that of my imagination.
So why do I bring all of this up? It seems that our good friend Ami Elizabeth at Elizabeth Anne Designs has sent us “Aloha nui loa” by featuring our work on their site! We here at Clark + Walker are honored to be showcased and would like to share it with you, dear blog readers!
Aloha nui loa!
